Ed Derbyshire – Mariposa of Brixham, 2015 – Present

We have had a good season too and we would very much like to continue our walk on berth with the complete package for next year! Thanks for making a great place to socialise, do the 1000 boat jobs that always need doing and a super sailing base – plus, of course, your very friendly and helpful team!

Graham Sargen – Petrel, 2009 – 2017

I want to thank Scott and the team for hosting us for the last 8 seasons. Wicor is a fantastic place to keep a boat: a tidy and very well-run yard with everything you need to hand. I also really enjoy the 45 minute motor down the harbour: it’s a chance to have a nice cup of coffee and start thinking like a sailor again, before reaching open water!

James Bamford – Raffaella, 1972-1987 & 1991 to present

My first acquaintance with Wicormarine was on my uncle’s 36’ Hillyard in 1968. I kept my first boat there from 1972 and my present boat has been there
since I sailed her down from East Anglia in 1991.  I have found Scott and his team to be helpful and welcoming, the facilities meet my requirements and are regularly upgraded, and the moorings are well sheltered plus deep enough for my keel. Other benefits are the peaceful and pleasant surroundings, ample car parking, chandlery, café and undercover work benches/mast storage etc. I am content which is why I have been there so long.

Duncan Hindley – Cardellino, 2008 to present

We all enjoy Wicor … The moment we pass through the barrier into the yard we are on quality time and the unwinding experience can’t be matched by the marina environments elsewhere around the Solent.

Graham McCarty – Papaver, 2014 to present

Having sailed my boat back from France I was unable (due to illness) to take the boat to the yard. My wife contacted Scott and it was quickly arranged to collect the boat on our behalf. Now that I have recovered and am able to work on the boat I have found the yard to be well run, friendly and Sarah in the office to be willing to help with a smile. The Salt cafe is a must to visit for coffee, lunch or a slice of the delicious Pecan pie. Have used boatyards from the Caribbean, USA, Australia and the UK this is one of the best.

Mike Wright & Family – Pluma, 2007 to present

Since we moved to WicorMarine in 2007, my wife and I have found it a great place to moor and store our yacht. Scott and his staff have always been extremely kind and helpful, the rates are extremely competitive, and the overall service is excellent.

I was sad a couple of years back to learn that my neighbour had moved away from Wicor. Imagine my surprise when he and his yacht returned in a few months, saying how mad he was to try somewhere else, as he realised how good it was at Wicor!

Pete & Lindsey Blow – Sally, 2013 to 2016

Can I take this opportunity to congratulate you and the team on all the hard work you’ve been putting in to improve and maintain your business.  Salt Cafe, work on the jetty and pontoons etc., are I’m sure just the visible tip of pretty big iceberg. I hope your efforts bring their just rewards.

Ivan and Roni Hudson (S/Y Graseal) 2016

I just wanted to thank you and Scott for accommodating Graseal for the summer. We thoroughly enjoyed being with you, it is a lovely tranquil spot, very rural (and, I have to say vastly preferable to the marinas further down harbour). We were stuck in Haslar for 3 nights prior to departure due to bad weather that weekend and it was quite uncomfortable on the visitors berth.

Being out on your pontoon was no trouble and we rather liked the peace, but at the same time the cafe and the yard are buzzing with activity making for a great atmosphere – never mind the fees which we thought extremely reasonable.

So, thank you again – if we are back on the South Coast we will certainly give you a call.
