The vast majority of our deepwater, mid-river pontoons and moorings are accessible at all states of the tide by yacht. Access from the shore is by dinghy and storage of a tender on the main dinghy pontoon is free of charge.
With beautiful surroundings and abundant wildlife, this is a true haven away from the madding crowd.
How long? - it's your choice.
The most attractive agreement is our Complete Package but we can provide moorings on a 12 month (annual) basis or just for the summer sailing season. Visitors are always welcome.
Our deepwater mid-river pontoons are suitable for yachts with LOA up to 20 metres and are accessed by dinghy from the end of the jetty at most states of the tide. The furthest pontoon berth takes about 5 minutes to row to, even quicker with an outboard. Tenders are stored free of charge on our main dinghy pontoon at the end of the jetty.
For those who prefer a more traditional mooring, we have a small number of deepwater swinging moorings which offer fine, uninterrupted views of the harbour. A sturdy tender and an outboard is recommended for access to the downstream moorings as they are approximately 1/2 mile from the jetty. The upstream swinging moorings are a little closer and take about 7 or 8 minutes to row to.
We have a number of tidal swinging moorings which are ideal for lifting/drop keel yachts and bilge keel vessels. Access to these moorings varies but the majority are accessible approximately 5 hours before, to 3 hours after highwater. Multihull moorings have a slightly smaller tidal window depending on the prevailing weather and tidal conditions.
We also have a number of tidal walk ashore berths alongside the jetty, on the foreshore or main dinghy pontoon which are suitable for larger vessels. These berths have access to water and electric and are suitable for Dutch barges, Houseboats and MFVs.
